Job Purpose
The Beautiful Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Airport is seeking a dedicated and detailed oriented Accounting Manager. The purpose of the Accounting Manager is to assure the overall success of the accounting department by meeting or exceeding the company’s expectation for quality and accurateness of financial reports. Hilton Brand and OnQ PMS experience Preferred.
Essential Job Functions
- Oversees the activities of the Accounting Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, and annual audits and annual budgets.
- Oversee the activities of the Accounts Receivable/Payable to ensure the accurate and timely management of all Accounts receivable aging components including billing, cash receipts application, etc.
- Directs responsibility for preparing and maintaining the property budget.
- Conducts department training on a regular basis in conjunction with AURO Hotels’ standards and Brand standards.
- Works with associates when necessary to provide outstanding customer service to internal and external guests.
- Prepares payroll as required. Approves overtime as necessary for hourly associates.
- Participates in the development of the property’s plans and programs as a strategic partner.
- Evaluates/advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
- Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and trends in order to assist the Resource Center in performing their responsibilities.
- Enhances and/or develops, implements and enforces policies and procedures of the organization by the way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
- Provides technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline.
- Continual improvement of the budgeting process through educating the General Manager on financial issues impacting their budgets.
- Provides strategic financial input and leadership on decision‐making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliance issues affecting the organization.
- Optimizes the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiates appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
- Confers closely with the General Manager and takes every opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of the hotel in order to assist wherever required.
- Keeps General Manager and Corporate Controller promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.

Experience/Education
College degree preferred; 2-3 years hotel management accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Hilton Brand and OnQ PMS experience Preferred.
