The Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all aspects of the hotel including the individual guest rooms, equipment, and mechanical systems. This individual is expected to have direct involvement with guests and employees and must present himself/herself accordingly. This is a hands-on position that requires active, vigorous leadership. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter with one or more certifications and is committed to maintaining an exceptional environment for hotel guests.

Responsibilities:

Preventive maintenance of the hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and equipment.
Upkeep of the hotel property including guest rooms, public spaces, grounds and swimming pool, fitness center, kitchen as defined by corporate and brand standards.
Able to troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including PTAC and four-pipe systems.
Skilled and or certified in several areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting.
Able to recognize potential safety hazards and security problems in the hotel and act upon them accordingly.
Be willing and able to be responsive to complaints about maintenance and handle multiple tasks at a time.
Perform preventive maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis and complete the accompanying required logs.
Service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters.

Requirements:

2 years of prior work-related experience; hotel experienced preferred.
Experience with PTAC units and four-pipe systems.
Pool management experience.
Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
