Rates up to $18 an hour

Housekeeper (Monday-Friday, FT, 8:00am-4:30pm, and every other weekend)

Primary Function: Independent Living Housekeeper. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents in all living and common areas. Day to day tasks in the Housekeeping department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards.

Qualifications: Ability to comprehend oral instruction. Pleasant personality with capability of communicating with other people (residents, family members and other staff) in a cooperative manner. Capable of learning the required cleaning and equipment operations used at Meadowood. Ability to work well without close supervision. Must have own transportation.

Responsibilities:

1. Assists the housekeeper in ensuring sanitary conditions in Holly House, Laurel House and Community Center areas.

2. Performs all tasks assigned such as washing windows, cleaning light fixtures, cleaning vents, vacuuming upholstered furniture and drapes, shampooing carpets and scrubbing floors with heavy duty machines, etc.

3. Responsible for set-ups and break down of rooms.

4. Responsible for cleaning guest suite and cleaning ancillary areas.

5. Trash removal throughout the community.

6. Participates in, in-service training.

7. Operates all cleaning equipment with the utmost safety.

8. Maintains communication with manager and coworkers via radio, which is carried at all times during shift.

9. Follow Meadowood safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.

10. Responsible for keeping self-informed of Personnel and Housekeeping procedures and recommending changes or reporting problems to supervisor.

11. Prompt and regular attendance.

12. Reports unusual circumstances regarding residents to the supervisor.

13. Promotes team morale.

14. Fills in for housekeepers when needed.

15. On call to work some weekends and some holidays and performs other related duties as assigned.
