**Starting pay rate $12.50/hour, dependent on experience and qualifications**

HOUSEKEEPER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleans offices, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways
• Cleans resident apartments as scheduled
• Moves and dusts furniture and cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
• Washes walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
• Empties wastebaskets and vacuums and empties/cleans ashtrays
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area
• Replenishes bathroom supplies
• Performs emergency pull cord testing
• When resident is transferred or discharged from facility, performs cleaning procedures to ensure room is prepared for new occupant
• Performs cleaning and sanitizing procedures in accordance with infection control policies and procedures
• Uses effective universal precautions and sanitation practices
• Completes any report or log as requested
• Attends related in-service trainings and staff meetings as requested
• Immediately reports equipment malfunctions, injuries, and accidents to supervisor
• Performs other duties as assigned

HOUSEKEEPER QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Some related experience preferred
• Fluent English speaking/writing communication skills
• Must be able to maintain general sanitary/safety practices
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
