Position Summary:
The Human Resources Administrative Assistant is a pivotal role supporting a variety of functions in the Human Resources Department. This role requires an engaging, culture-driven, energized and detail oriented individual, who can work in a fast paced team environment. Primary Responsibilities:
- Eagerly provide World Class support to all West Marine Crew Members in alignment with West Marine Core Values
- Command attendance reporting, tracking and follow-up
- Safeguard accuracy of HRIS system (UltiPro)
- Enthusiastically support New to Blue Orientation, The Dock LMS and other programs
- Execute engaging Crew Member events
- Champion Associate Engagement programs
- Model our ‘culture in action’ at all times
- Nimbly cross train to support other departments as needed
- Master File Maintenance and other duties as assigned
Education, Experience and Skills:
- 2-4 years of Administrative Assisting experience (HR experience preferred)
- AS degree in Human Resources, related degree or HR certification (preferred)
- Experience identifying and protecting confidential information
- Intermediate Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and flex with changing demands
- Attention to detail and ability to follow directions
