Grow your career here! This position offers an opportunity to familiarize yourself with all aspects of Human Resources including; Benefits, Recruitment, Workers Compensation, Safety, Payroll Systems, Employee Relations and more! Perfect position for a recent college graduate.
- Provides administrative support to VP of People & Operations and HR Manager as needed.
- Assist with preparation of HR communications, forms, policies and documents.
- Communicate with third party vendors regarding HR functions.
- Creates and maintains spreadsheets and analyzes data.
- Creates and maintains access codes and badges for associates using Kantech system.
- Assists in promoting, planning, coordinating, and executing company events.
- Assists in promoting, tracking, and executing human resources programs.
- Provides excellent customer service to vendors, applicants, and associates.
- Performs recruiting and hiring functions in the HR department, as needed.
- Supports HR staff in coordinating recruiting events and marketing materials including in-store job fairs, off-site job fairs, online job boards, social media, in-store signage, pro-active recruiting, campus recruiting, college presentations and other innovative marketing campaigns.
- Assists with all other HR related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and listening skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
- Basic numerical reasoning and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint and publishing software. Demonstrated knowledge of HRIS/Payroll and reporting software.
- Excellent organizational skills & outstanding customer service skills.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit, and reach at shoulder height regularly.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers using telephone.
- Ability to use vision to read documents and computer screen.
- Ability to type information into computer.
Required Experience
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or related field.
