Summary:
This multifaceted Human Resources position has various responsibilities with a particular emphasis on supporting recruiting, unemployment, performance reviews, learning management system, payroll, and file maintenance.
Whether you have years of HR experience or are a recent college grad with a focus in HR, this is a highly visible, challenging, and rewarding position.
With approximately 900 employees working out of 21 locations, Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation is the nation’s largest manufacturer of metal roofing and building systems. This in-office position reports to the HR Generalist and sits in our Sellersburg, IN corporate office.

You’ll be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Assisting with recruiting processes including job postings, reviewing resumes, coordinating interviews, and requisition management
- Maintaining employee records and personnel files
- Assigning performance reviews, reporting on review completion statuses, and assisting managers with the HRIS review process
- Serving as the administrator for the company’s learning management system
- Responding to unemployment claims and coordinating hearings with appropriate company representatives
- Functioning as backup to Payroll Manager
- Ad hoc reporting and auditing
- Assisting with benefit administration as requested
- Ensuring all Metal Sales locations and managers are following the proper HR processes
- Always delivering a responsive and positive employee experience
Job Requirements:
The most qualified candidates will have:
- At least 2 years of Human Resources experience with an emphasis or a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on HR
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office required, experience with ADP Workforce Now HRIS system preferred
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with employee matters and information
