Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President to join the HR Employee Solutions team. This function provides advisory and operational support to our HR Business partner teams, as well as to employees and managers across the firm on a number of transactional processes across the employee lifecycle. In addition, this function plays a leading role in developing consistent approaches/processes to HR coverage matters across both advisory and transactional work.

The Head of Process Optimization will report into the Head of HRES Support and Head of HRES Coverage in New York. Responsibilities include the following:
  • Work with team leads to identify processes that should be streamlined, automated, reengineered, eliminated or transitioned to operational team.
  • Utilize data and reporting to prioritize focus areas. Leverage metrics on potential time savings, and capacity creation to make decisions.
  • Lead a team of business analysts that will document HR processes transitioning to the HR Employee Solutions team or Operational centers by working with HR Business Partners and SMEs to gather necessary information and transpose high-level information into detailed process documentation.
  • Manage the documentation of standard operating procedures for HRES team
  • Transition streamlined processes to new process owners, including creating project plans, communications, training materials. Deliver trainings as needed.
  • Partner with global counterparts to establish global process consistency, as well as the MS Bangalore Service Centre on processes that need to move.
  • Engage proactively and regularly with HR Business Partners to develop a deep understanding of how team can best serve the evolving needs of the function
  • Manage any vendors that may be offering documentation resources for the team
  • Project manage any new global outsourcing/ offshoring initiatives.
  • Manage senior stakeholders, showing progress of the function and KPIs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required with at least 7 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills in Visio, Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.
  • Experience in transformation project and/or process re-engineering.
  • Experience in dealing with large scale organizations, multiple stakeholders.
  • HR Business Partner experience is highly desirable
  • Comfortable interfacing with leaders and business partners across a heavily matrix environment. Ability to build relationships remotely and locally, ability to establish credibility, influence sr. stakeholders.
  • Strategic — able to understand the bigger picture, end goal and build a path to achieve that.
  • Strong influencing skills — able to convince a team to invest, change, implement initiatives
  • Ability to structure and comprehend numerical analysis and optimization strategies.
  • Sound judgement — able to balance employee experience with operational efficiency.
  • Project management and analytical skills
  • Must be a team player who enjoys a high volume, fast paced and dynamic environment

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 110000 and 190000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
