The opportunity
The HR Generalist supports the manufacturing team by working with other HR practitioners in a 24/7, fully automated, manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include benefits administration, recordkeeping, payroll support, assisting with recruiting and employee onboarding, employee relations and engagement, policy administration, and executing the company’s HR business strategy.
The role
· Support the day-to-day HR function at the Sanford manufacturing facilities
· Support the manufacturing team by providing HR expertise and direction
· Support recruitment, selection, and onboarding of talent for the facility
· Assist with employee relations and engagement efforts
· Assist with administering policy and procedures in accordance with company guidelines
· Assist with time and attendance systems and serve as a backup for centralized payroll processing
· Promote Gildan by engaging in community activities
What you will bring to the role
Knowledge & Professional Experience
· Associates Degree in HR discipline or related field preferred
· Minimum of 3 years progressive HR leadership experience (manufacturing preferred)
· Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (PeopleSoft and ADP preferred)
· Advanced computer competency (MS Office Suite, especially Excel)
