BASIC FUNCTION

The human resource generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level. This position carries out responsibilities in the functional areas such as benefits counsel, employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, policy implementation and execution, and employment law compliance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Serve as a point of contact for new hires and help manage and assist with employee onboarding and offboarding

· Maintains, Research and reviews compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

· Provide guidance on interpreting HR policies resulting in a fair and consistent application across the organization.

· Responds to Unemployment claims.

· Assist other HR Team Members with preparing filing Workers Compensation claims.

· Work closely with Leadership Team to ensure understanding of human resource issues.

· Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

· Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; work with Leadership team to gain an understanding of skills needed for openings.

· Conduct Wage analysis surveys in markets where we operate.

· Review and approve compensation changes in accordance with guidance delivered by leadership team.

· Assist in Training team members on HRIS / Workday System.

· Maintain labor law compliance poster for all Tidal Wave Locations.

· Focuses on collective relationships between the organization and its employees.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. Equivalent relevant work experience will be considered.
• A solid foundation of HR knowledge with employment laws and practices
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving and creative skills with the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
• Proficient with HRIS systems preferably WorkDay
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Requirements

• Can pass a drug test and criminal background check.
• Are legally eligible to work in the United States.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

• Thomaston, GA 30286: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Human resources: 2 years (Preferred)
• Workday HRIS Software: 1 year (Preferred)
