Job Summary: Assists Human Resource Generalists with the process of recruitment, hiring and employment. Performs administrative and clerical related duties. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas

Performs administrative and clerical duties to support the Human Resources Generalists with recruitment and employment.

Responsible for scheduling appointments for interviews and setting-up itineraries for potential employees.

Schedules Employee Health screenings and HR sign-ups.

Arranges for over-night accommodations for candidates as needed.

Verifies references of potential employees.

Tracks background checks and notifies the appropriate staff when issues arise from the background checks. Verifies bills when received.

Demonstrates the ability to perform secretarial duties, i.e., typing, dictation, follow-up correspondence, preparing reports, memos.

Prepares informal mailings for external candidates as well as other types of mass mailings for recruitment.

Able to compile data from different sources for special projects; prepares reports.

Enters all applicants into CSVS's database tracking system.

Updates CSVS's job posting board as applicable.

Answers the telephone in a professional manner; responds to calls for employment opportunities; directs all other calls appropriately.

Responds to all inquiries in an expedient manner.

Assists Human Resources Generalists with various agency staff recruitment and sign-ups.

Performs per diem sign-ups of new employees and qualifying events for current employees.

Assists with the tracking of employment processes and Human Resources functions.

Tracks employee leave of absences; reports leave of absences to the appropriate administrative staff.

Able to process classified ad bills; allocates charges to the appropriate corporation.

Maintains procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow.

Maintains department personnel records; records are kept confidential.

Maintains department records, files, policy and procedure manual.

Communicates appropriately and clearly to the Director of Human Resources, Human Resources Generalists and other co-workers.

Maintains a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments; is a team player.

Is a resource person both within the department and to administrative staff of other departments.

Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple assignments, balance priorities and make decisions quickly.

Demonstrates the ability to be flexible and organized.

Maintains thorough documentation.

Uses accurate, clear and concise oral and written communication skills.

Ensures Human Resources' policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Knowledgeable of federal, state and local laws and regulations governing recruiting and hiring practices.

Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly.

Demonstrates the ability to order supplies.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality.
