POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
REPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager
JOB PURPOSE: To improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.
BASIC FUNCTION: Provides support in functional areas of the Human Resources department. This support includes but is not limited to recruitment, hiring and employment; personnel records, employee relations, Career Discussions, compensation management, benefits administration and organizational development and training. Clerical duties include but are not limited to answering and directing phone calls, maintaining hard copy and digital filing, processing departmental mail, preparing packets and informational materials, sending and receiving professional correspondence, greeting visitors of the Human Resources office, auditing and correcting data and responding to employee and community member inquiries. Completes requests for verification of employment. Monitors department calendars and assists with various scheduling tasks. Assists the Human Resources team with a large variety of programs including reference checks, new employee processing, benefits enrollment, etc. Updates and revises forms including job descriptions, policies and procedures, employee forms, etc. as directed. Establishes effective relationships with co-workers, employees, patients, community members, medical staff, management and outside agencies. Maintains and promotes confidentiality of patient/employee/medical staff and hospital issues. Contributes to special projects as assigned. Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Experience: Preferred qualifications include previous work experience in a Human Resources position or previous work experience in a clerical position in an office setting.
SALARY INFORMATION :
$17.00-$21.53 Dependent on Experience
Shift differentials may apply for eligible positions.
