We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented, and hands-on HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our awesome HR team! The HR Business Partner will support the organization through people-oriented initiatives and goals. Duties and responsibilities
- New Hires: Keep in touch with new hire prior to start date, launch onboarding tasks, conduct background checks, ensure IT is notified and IT setup is completed timely, desk is set up for first day, team is ready for new hire’s arrival, be onsite for new hires for I-9 verification, tour, introductions and hand-off to new hire’s team.
- On-site Employee Engagement/Recognition: Update HR related communications on the lobby TV as needed, coordinate and run monthly on-site engagement activities for office employees, daily lunch ordering for employees and coordinate lunch options when our normal partners are closed due to a holiday; assist with Annual July 4th and End of Year Holiday Parties
- Weekly Payroll Assistance: Follow up with employees about any missing clock in or out time or any other payroll related issues that arise, pull reporting for overtime and missed punches for the week to send to managers for correction, verification, etc.
- Recruiting for mid-level positions: assist with creating descriptive, accurate job postings alongside the hiring manager, posting jobs, screening applicants, coordinating remote/on-site interviews (including greeting candidate upon arrival and ensure meeting gets underway with hiring manager), extend and create offers; host on-site job fair days as needed.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Assist in employment verifications, FMLA/LOA administration, unemployment claims and worker compensation document processing.
- Employee Questions/Issues: Be onsite for employee questions and issues and escalate any employee relations issues to VP of Human Resources for investigation, documentation, resolution, etc.
- Assist with monthly benefit administration for new employees including ensuring the TeleHealth and Employee Assistance Program employee database is updated each month – newly eligible employees and terms.
- Safety: Work with Operations on Safety Issues/Complaints in partnership with VP of Human Resources to document and report properly
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions, as needed.
- Occasional visits to our NYC and NJ showrooms.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Experience with UKG is a plus.
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar HR role.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
