Position: Human Resources Business Partner – Payroll and Administration
Hours: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, open to alternate schedule
Days: Monday – Friday, occasional weekends and evenings to engage with employees working at those times

The Green River Distilling Company has roots back to 1885 and holds the tenth license issued in Kentucky. The latest iteration began in 2016 and business is poised for growth. The distilling operations lays down product for their own brand and contracts to make other brands. The campus also has a bottling facility and tours, tastings, and event space.

Job Summary*
The Human Resources Business partner has a strong foundation in human resource activities. Because this individual may have little experience and we are serious about the knowledge and professionalism of our team, a Bachelor’s level education specific to human resources is required. This role is a good fit for someone who wants to develop their human resources career as a generalist in a growing mid-size environment with opportunity to grow your career and be exposed to a wide range of responsibilities. This position will help drive special projects, research topics, and help us get the most out of our technology solutions. You will not get bored in this environment with multiple lines of business and exciting growth.

Job Description/Responsibilities*

- Conduct all activities in a manner that supports the goal of being an employer of choice in all employment markets.
- Support the employees at your facility and be responsible for tasks as part of an HR shared services model.
- Review employee timesheets for facility to ensure all data has been entered and supervisor approvals have been completed in preparation for payroll. Ensure all other data is completed for payroll purposes.
- Collect and submit timesheets for temporary employees.
- Ensure all new hire, exiting, and changed employee data for facility has been entered into the HRIS and captured for payroll processing.
- Manage the companies health savings account program.
- Explore our HR Information System and recommend technology driven solutions to improve our productivity and efficiency. Implement system solutions.
- Assist with the talent recruitment by posting positions, reviewing applicants, conducting phone screens, and scheduling interviews. Participate in job fairs.
- Serve as a resource to employees on benefit questions, employee relations issues, and company policies and procedures.
- Work with system reporting feature and Excel to produce reports.
- Manage employee uniform and apparel program for facility.
- Assist employees with leave requests ensuring legal considerations are followed and employees receive supplemental pay in a timely manner.
- Maintain information in employee files.
- Conduct onboarding of new hires including assistance with uniforms, benefit enrollment, and security badges.
- Assist with annual and new hire benefit enrollment and benefit vendor billing reconciliation.
- Organize employee appreciation events.
- Commitment for the Company’s ISO program including the quality and food safety of our products.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s level education preferred
- HR certification is a plus, willingness to pursue certification
- Prior work experience in human resources administration
- Competent in MS Office – Outlook, Work, Excel
- Good communication and writing skills
