Summary Description:


This position will provide support to Distribution Center Managers with activities including recruiting, payroll/time keeping, benefits administration, performance management, compensation administration, employment, training, policy application, employee/labor relations and assisting with projects.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the employment/labor relation process: Counsel Associates, Managers and Supervisors on work-related matters.
  • Employee Relations: Answer questions and resolve problems in order to achieve satisfied employees.
  • Recruitment for open positions.
  • Conduct onboarding process.
  • Assists with new-hire orientation.
  • Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status.
  • Assist management with the interpretation of HR policies and with HR-related laws and regulations.
  • Assist management with disciplinary actions.
  • Assist management with the tracking of absenteeism, time off, time keeping records, etc.
  • Assist management with safety related matters.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Associate/Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent experience. SHRM and/or HRCI certification preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a distribution center or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact and partner with employees and leaders at all levels.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and procedures.
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local regulations that affect company operations.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, HRIS/Payroll systems (ADP WFN preferred) or similar HRIS and Recruiting platforms.
  • Demonstrated self-directed work ethic is required.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Hearing and vision adequate for working in an office environment.
  • Repetitive use of hands for writing and typing
  • Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, reaching, grasping
  • Ability to lift up to fifteen pounds.


Scope of Responsibility
: This position has no supervisory responsibility for other full time or part time employees
