American Display & Fixture (ADF) has an immediate full time opening for an experience Human Resources Generalist. Looking for a mid-level HR professional to develop and implement the best policies and procedures for our company. We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal and knowledgeable skills to oversee a diverse set of HR activities and programs that a line within legal requirements. Maintain optimal employee benefit programs that aligns with business objectives. Strong organization skills that understand how to incorporate the best strategies for business growth. Identifies audits needed for specific areas and or processes for adequacy, legal, and effectiveness. Position reports to Director of Human Resources.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Executes and implements the administration of company-wide human resources policies and practices.
  • Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating in a confidential manner.
  • Solid understanding of labor laws and regulations; Federal, Tennessee and Georgia
  • Make sure all HR activities comply with legal requirements.
  • Manage employee benefit programs.
  • Analyze internal and external audits such as compliance, best practices, and function specific.
  • Experience with HR data management.
  • Familiar in different HRIS systems.
  • Knowledgeable in the ADA, FMLA and workers compensation.
  • Makes themselves readily available to employees and temps to answer questions and assure prompt, and accurate customer service.
  • Treats all with dignity and respect.
  • Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating in a confidential manner.
  • Ability to commute and fill-in when needed within TN and Dalton locations.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned by department.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural facilities and to work with non-English speaking employees.
Experience/Qualifications:
  • Prefer Minimum of 3+ years' experience in Human Resources
  • Very proficient of Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.)
  • Ability to clearly communicate (written and verbal.)
  • Ability multi-task in a fast paced, deadline drive environment as well a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exhibits high degree of discretion, judgment, and confidentiality.
  • Occasionally, work outside normal business hours as needed.
Physical Requirements- Work is performed in an office environment.

  • Stationary work: requiring ability to sit, stand for long periods of time.
  • Moderate amounts of walking involved in working in plant locations.
  • Consistent use of repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers to view and operate computer, phone, and basic office equipment.
  • Occasional lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds.
  • On occasion, the ability to drive to various site locations.
