Job Overview:
Generally expected to work as a valued member of the XL Specialized Trailers team. This job is responsible for performing Human Resources related duties at the professional level by carrying out responsibilities in functional areas of employee relations, training, and benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
- Interviews, screens and recruits job applications to fill entry level, professional and technical job openings.
- Conducts exit interviews and analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints.
- Conducts weekly payroll processing utilizing our HRIS system.
- Facilitates benefits information, processing, and follow-up with employees.
- Ensures successful onboarding of all candidates including receiving appropriate paperwork, providing onboarding support, conducting orientation, and following up on successful start.
- Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Complies with federal, state, and local safety regulations by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; interpreting standards; enforcing adherence to regulations; advising management on needed actions.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Wear proper personal protective equipment.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Ancillary Duties:
- Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall operations of the XL Specialized Trailers.

Works under broad supervision.
Responsibility for Public Contact:
Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
Licensing and Certification:
None required. SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree Human Resources Management, or related field.
- Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations is preferred.
- Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues.
- The ability to research and analyze various different type of data information.
