Job description
The Raising Cane's River Center / ASM Global has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Manager. The position is located in Baton Rouge, LA.
Perform all aspects of Human Resource Operations, as well as administration and maintenance of all Facility Benefit Programs, consistent with ASM Global policies by performing the following duties.
  • Follows ASM Global Human Resources policies to assure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions.
  • Maintains compliance with state regulations concerning employment.
  • Administers various Human Resources plans and procedures for all facility personnel.
  • Performs recruitment activities. Writes and places advertisements. Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions. Plans and conducts new employee orientations.
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Coordinates training or trains Managers in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance management, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Advises the corporate office of EEOC complaints and other employee relations problems.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, 401k, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, employee assistance program, FMLA, LOA, W/C and COBRA Administration.
  • Completes and verifies all payroll functions at the facility.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • This position is issued a company paid cell phone, which requires you to answer and reply to all phone calls, text messages, and emails in a timely manner (within 24 hours). It is also required that subordinates are given your number and are able to reach you utilizing this cell phone.
  • Maintain safe, secure, and sanitary working conditions and leave work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Abides by all ASM Global policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures Manual, the Business Code of Conduct, and the Cash Handling Procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills Required
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with employees and others encountered through the course of employment.
  • Operate standard office equipment and personal computer(s) using MS Windows, MS Excel, MS Outlook MS Word, E-Time software and various ADP programs.
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
  • Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
Working Conditions: Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. Physical requirements include walking, stooping, lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for extended periods of time.
