Summary:

The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening and recommending candidates for our teaching roles as well as onboarding new hires. This person must understand, model and represent Enriched School’s core values. He or she will identify opportunities to build applicant pools, build community partnerships, establish trust and partnerships with the managers, identify potential “fit” through effective interviewing and testing, effectively administer the interviewing and onboarding process, and ensure a positive new hire experience. Developing and executing various human resources plans and procedures for all personnel. Candidates will work closely with the Senior Human Resources Manager to develop policies and procedures to keep Enriched Schools in compliance with all federal and state guidelines. All activities must be in compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA and other regulations, as appropriate.


Education and Experience:

  • Four year degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Two years of human resources, talent acquisitions, education, and interviewing experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of staffing principles, laws, and procedures and a solid working knowledge of recruitment/employment programs.
  • Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Conducts all recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, temporary employees; assists with new-employee orientations; writes, places, and maintains advertisements.
  • Recruits, screens, interviews, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in weekly operation staff meetings and attends other meetings as requested. Maintains employee application files and employee contact information.
  • Evaluates reports, decisions and results of the department in relation to established goals. Reviews current processes and recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documents, conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Collaborates effectively with all management levels.
