As a Hutton's Store Clerk you will be responsible for creating the ultimate customer service experience for all of our members, tourists, and locals on the east side of the lake. Whether you are running the register, hand scooping their four tier ice cream cone, or recommending the best sandwiches on this side of the lake. As a store clerk you will have the ability and training to do it all. You will work with 1-2 other clerks during a shift and will work as a team to make sure the store is kept at a high standard and always ready to impress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics
• Balance the cash register and generate reports for credit/debit sales
• Know the ingredients of all of our fresh food items and how to prepare them
• Ensure shelves and cooler are always stocked and looking their best
• Assist customers with fuel purchases
• Have basic knowledge of the gas pumps and equipment (you will take a basic certification prior to starting)
• Follow all store procedures regarding the purchase of alcohol and tobacco
• Keep a clean and sanitary work environment
• Ensure that each interaction with our customers is a cherished one
• Ensure that we are following proper food handling procedures at all times
• Quality control holds a huge emphasis in our job. We never want to serve unsafe, or poor quality items.
• Get to know our regulars and their likes and dislikes

Requirements

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, with a high sense of urgency. Must have good communication skills, be self-motivated, and have the ability to prioritize. Must be able to work well with a team and have a strong willingness to grow and learn. Prior food handling experience is preferred, but not required.
