This resource will support the mainframe environment at our client
- Disaster Recovery (IBM’s Backup and Recovery Manager) – Install, Administration, Setup jobs to backup and restore production flat files
- Logon Procs – Create, Change
- SCLM - Change Control – Create structures, Maintain structures, SCLM file maintenance
- REXX Routines – Create, Maintain
- Clist Routines – Create, Maintain
- Panel Libraries – Create, Maintain
- SMS / HSM Storage Management – ACS routine, DASD allocation
- IMS Connect – Application setup, Monitor, Trouble shoot
- MQ – Create, Maintain, Trouble shoot
- Casegen – Maintain Casegen modules in SCLM
- BMC IMS Utilities – Maintain REXX utility that uses IMS utilities
- BMC Control Products – Install, Maintain, Trouble shoot
- Jobscan – Assist Development in executing
- Application Performance Analyzer – Assist Development in executing
- Debug Tool – Assist Development in executing
- File Manager – Assist Development in executing
- Finalist – Assist Development in executing, Coordinate changes
- FTP/Connect:Direct/Cyberfusion – Assist development in executing, Coordinate changes
- COBOL – Maintain SLCM components for COBOL
- Mainframe Monitoring – MXG reports, RMF reports, RMF spreadsheet report writer, Report on transactions, IMS and DB2, BMC Mainview
- DB2 and IMS support

The Product Specialist will be expected to lead, participate in, or complete the following:
- Work with service provider on operating system upgrades. Test interfaces as needed.
- Communicate the deployment/release schedule, release artifacts, priorities, and status to all stakeholders.
- Coordinate releases with internal stakeholders.
- Champion best practices and quality standards.
- Participate in functional and technical meetings throughout the development lifecycle.
- Work with Product Management and Support to ensure timely and effective client communication about upcoming deployments and upgrades.
- Analyze release activities and provide feedback to Operations and Software Development teams on gaps and resiliency concerns.
