We currently have an opening for an Industrial Automation programmer at our Hata Division located in North Huntingdon, PA.
Summary:
The Programmer will participate in the design of operator interface software and PLC control software (both traditional PLC and PC-based control) developed as part of Elizabeth-Hata International automated products. In addition to programming for these projects, you will be involved in specification and testing, and all other phases of the Software Life Cycle. You will be part of a team that is responsible for development of our latest software developed with the most modern technology available, as well as the support of legacy software systems on older architectures. Flexibility and understanding of complex software systems is a must. You will be involved in all of the following:
- Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
- Writing and implementing efficient code
- Researching, designing, and implementing software programs
- Testing and evaluating new programs
- Developing quality assurance procedures
- Deploying software tools, processes and metrics
- Working closely with other developers
Job Responsibilities
- Operator interface software programming.
- PLC logic programming.
- Software and system design.
- Software testing.
- Participate in the overall design, implementation, and testing of all software systems which are part of Elizabeth-Hata International products. This includes operator interface software, machine control software, and all related support documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Certificate in Computer Software Engineering, PLC Programming, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of hands-on experience in software design and programming in machine control and/or process visualization.
- Programming experience in one or more of the following: Beckhoff PC-based control (Structured Text), PLC Ladder Logic (Mitsubishi, Schneider, or Allen-Bradley), Wonderware InTouch, Indusoft Web Studio, Visual C++.
- Experience with developing software solutions for automation.
