Oak Forest Academy is a new kind of preschool that combines proven approaches to early education with innovative ideas designed to improve the experience for students, teachers, and parents.

As a growing and future-focused local business, we are looking for Full Time Infant / Toddler Teachers (Assistants) who are seeking to expand upon their experience and knowledge. All candidates should be flexible in their availability to work within the operating hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in a smoke free environment.

Key Job Summary:

Provide a nurturing, patient and loving environment to all children.

Possess deep love for children and a strong commitment to building positive relationships with families and the community.

Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum designed to promote the social, physical and intellectual growth of the children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.

Evaluate and analyze the development and progress of each child and effectively communicate those results.

Partner and communicate with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.

Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities and community contacts.

Implement a positive, restorative approach to discipline focused on understanding and meeting children's needs and developing emotional intelligence.

Maintain DFPS guidelines for Minimum Standards at all times.

Qualifications:

Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.

Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to interact with students of all ages and skill levels.

Committed to building a positive team culture.

Pass required state and company background checks, including FBI fingerprinting.

CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.

COVID-19 Vaccinated or willing to obtain.

At least 18 years of age with 1+ year of early childhood experience working in a professional setting preferred.

Bachelor’s in early childhood or relevant preferred.

Must be physically able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.

Proficient technological skills including the ability to use a desktop computer, associated software and an electronic tablet.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
