Information Governance and Records Manager

Canon Business Process Services, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Records Manager at a law firm in New York, NY! If you have at least 4-5 years experience with records imaging hardware, retention scheduling and management, then this may be the opportunity for you!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the records and document management program and staff at a client site. Oversee the smooth processing, sorting, classification and coding of materials for integration into the records systems
- Responsible for the easy retrieval and referencing of needed information on a timely basis
- Analyze the Records Management needs of the client(s) and develop programs to effectively meet those needs. Regular interface with the client staff members which includes meeting planning across all business group, meeting hosting, interface with the clients, data collection and reporting back to the main client contacts to ensure that the Records Program and information systems meet the organizational needs and objectives of the respective client business groups.
- Manage on-site and off-site components of the Records program. Undertake audits of records created and stored within the organization. Develop programs for the distribution, retrieval and storage of records, including new information technologies into the organization and client
- Create and maintain databases for the control and retrieval of information. Ensure records are disposed or archived according to corporate policy or client policy
- Implement and formulate procedures, rules, records and information management policies and procedures. Ensure all aspects of record keeping adhere to relevant corporate policy or client policy and according to federal, state and local regulations including requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley Act HIPAA Privacy, etc. Deliver training to client staff as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4 year college degree preferred
- 4-5 years supervisory in a professional setting preferably in records management. Law or Insurance firms experience a plus
- Proficiency in automated records and document management systems (ex: LegalKey, AccuTrac, FileTrail, netDocs, iManage etc.) as well as filing systems (ex: redweld, etc.)
- Must possess ability to multi-task, stay organized in fast-paced environment, and work under strict time deadlines

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
