WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN INFORMATION SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR FOR OUR HOPKINSVILLE, KY LOCATION.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

This position has primary responsibility for the day-to-day support and maintenance of the Hopkinsville LAN. This position will also assist the Corporate IT Department in supporting and continually seeking to improve our network operations company-wide, including the health and maintenance of the network and Windows Active Directory infrastructure. This person will share administration responsibilities for all Windows-based, IIS, and SQL Server(s), Routers and Firewalls.

Emphasis will be placed on continuous improvement of mission critical network performance & availability and proactive network management. Strong technical aptitude & proven problem-solving skills are essential.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

· Keeps a detailed list of approved contractors and vendors associated with different IT related projects.

  • Provides support of LAN end users in the selection, procurement, usage and maintenance of software programs and hardware.
  • Writes programs to fulfill requirements or selects appropriate off-the-shelf software and modifies to suit.
  • Trains users and operators and may schedule and supervise project work
  • Negotiates contracts with consultants, technical personnel and vendors for products in services.
  • Develops, maintains and tests disaster recovery plans.
  • Encodes project requirements by converting work flow information into computer language. Programs the computer by entering coded information.
  • Confirms program operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes.
  • Prepares reference for users by writing operating instructions.
