General Summary
Under the supervision of the IT Director, serves as the first point of contact for staff seeking technical assistance via ticketing process, over the phone or email. Performs remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions, determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by staff, walk staff through the problem-solving process, direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel, provide accurate information on IT products or services,
Duties
- Manages, inventories, controls, and protects the organization's IT assets (i.e., hardware) throughout their life cycle, from acquisition through final disposition. In addition, the IT
Asset Manager supports the organization's asset management strategy.
- Aids IT Director to improve system imaging processes and procedures. Supports and implements these procedures to ensure that devices are available to support a consistent, positive, end user experience.
- Perform actions related to mobile policies, sign-on policies, mobile devices, and Okta
Mobile. Mobile admins have the following permissions: Manage mobile devices. Manage mobile policies.
- Provides technical support and assistance to customers, whether on the phone or in person. The primary intention is to ensure a client's satisfaction and ability to properly operate any machinery or technology they may be having trouble with.
- Troubleshoot concerns with a computer, software, or other asset and resolve the issue to maintain the functionality of the system to be in line with business goals. Escalate problem situations for prioritization and resolution.
- Support and carries out day-to-day activities that are related to the maintenance, financial planning and record keeping, physical distribution and logistics, within then organization.
- End-user training and workforce development on utilization of technology to gain effective and efficient workforce.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- Associate degree or equivalent with previous working experience as an IT Help Desk Technician supporting desktops, laptops, peripherals, and printers. Bachelors degree preferred.
- A+ certification.
- Network Plus or CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Strong VM ware experience.
- In-depth knowledge of computer systems and mobile devices.
- Hands on experience with diagnosing and resolving basic technical issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with diverse individuals with cultural competency.
Preferred:
- Strong Office 365 knowledge, certificate.
- Microsoft Azure or Amazon web services.
- MWARE Expert certification.
- Mitel VOIP experience.
- Print services/secure printing.
Other Requirements
- Valid Michigan driver’s license, own means of transportation.
