Job Description and Duties

The Employment Development Department is looking for a highly motivated, dedicated, and qualified individual who enjoys working in a team environment. If you love challenges, working with the latest technologies, and want to put your critical thinking, technical and problem solving skills to work, this could be the position for you.

Essential Functions:

Design, code, unit and system test, and implement complex application changes using Microsoft Software Development Environment tools such as the .NET Framework (Visual Basic .Net, C#), Windows Communication Foundation, Representational State Transfer (RESTful) Web Services, Team Foundation Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Internet Information Server, HTML5, commercial off-the-shelf software and modified off-the-shelf software.

• Design and implement technical solutions to support business functions using business requirements, system requirements, and system specifications.
• Maintain and/or modify complex programs to meet current and/or changing business needs.
• Troubleshoot complex new and existing information technology systems and applications to rectify and eliminate existing and potential system failures, outages, and downtime.

Telework may be available at your home where access to high-speed internet would be required.
