- Pay Rate: BOE
- Immediate Need.
- PTO, Benefits, and 401(k).
- Contracted role expected to last a year with potential to extend.
- Potential for Hybrid role with at least 3 days needed in office.
Audubon is currently seeking an I&E Engineer to join our team working onsite at a client's plant in Bishop, TX. The I&E Engineer will assist in developing projects of new equipment, replacement in kind, and repairs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Areas of Responsibility will include:
- Developing the formal project scopes working alongside Production, Maintenance, and engineering firms for successful project implementation.
- Providing instrument and electrical engineering expertise.
- Having a thorough knowledge of reliability tools to drive improvements, troubleshoot, optimize costs, and improve Asset Effectiveness (e.g. Bad Actor Program; FMEA; RBI; RBM; RCM; Reliability Roadmap etc.).
- General knowledge of instrument equipment design and detailed understanding of maintenance and reliability activities associated with process equipment such as level, pressure and temperature transmitters, analyzers, motors, vfds of various design will be essential as you provide technical support to Production and Maintenance personnel.
- Ability to work with Asset Effectiveness resources to help identify improvement opportunities and propose and implement sustainable solutions for I&E equipment.
- Utilizing your general understanding of industrial maintenance procedures including work planning, PM, and repair parts acquisition, you will establish, monitor, and optimize Preventative Maintenance Plans.
- Background in optimization of equipment, PM activities and strategies, and knowledge and experience will serve you well as you provide technical guidance in this position. You will develop inspections, spares and repair strategies for IEA equipment.
- Demonstrating your sound technical knowledge of instrumentation, analyzers, and electrical, you will provide first line technical support to maintenance supervisors and crafts on equipment problems and participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis and execute corrective actions for complex and/or repetitive problems.
- Demonstrating strengths in getting results, meeting commitments and problem-solving.
- Additional duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- 3+ years' of electrical engineering experience.
- 3+ years' industrial plant experience or similar setting.
- Chemical industry experience a plus.
- Initiative-taking and able to work independently.
- Possesses an understanding of National Electrical Code, with emphasis in hazardous (electrically classified) locations, and Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
- Strong communications skills, both written & verbal.
