*** This is NOT a remote position. The ideal candidate must be able to work from our West Palm Beach, FL office. ***

Responsibilities for this position include:

· Manual posting of all insurance and patient payments

· Knowledge of Electronic Remittance Summary posting

· Balancing daily posting figures

· Ability to read and understand different Explanation of Benefits

· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing

· Ability to document accounts clearly

· Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks

· Ability to prioritize workload

· Ability to focus and successfully meet weekly and monthly goals set by Management

· Accurately post payments and adjustments according to current standards of contracts set

· Apply insurance payments according to specific dates and procedures according to the EOB

· Apply patient payments by determined method of payment

· Enter detailed notes of outstanding patient balances left in accordance with the explanation of benefits

· Working closely with Supervisors on reversals of payments, adjustments, transfers and refunds

· If stated in explanation of benefits use corresponding patient unapplied credit money

· Work with management to research reimbursement and billing issues

· Ability to maintain confidentiality

· Ability to maintain accuracy

· Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, along with general knowledge of internet navigation research, and medical billing systems, EMR systems.

· Performs other duties as assigned

Experience:

• ICD-10: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical Billing: 1 year (Preferred)

Qualifications:

• Pass pre-employment drug screen
• Must be 18+ yrs. old.
