About the Insurance Verification Specialist Position:

Our Insurance Verification Specialists are responsible for accurately and timely verification of patient insurance coverage and hearing aid benefits for multiple Insurance Carriers, IPAs, Medical Groups, and CAP Hospitals. Our team members provide the highest quality services to our 32 Provider locations throughout Southern California to support the mission of Sonus Hearing Care Professionals.

Position Responsibilities:

• Contact various insurance companies, via phone or online to obtain detailed and accurate information of our Patient's eligibility and hearing aid benefits.
• Complete insurance verification forms, enter electronic notes and communicate results to the Providers though our electronic Practice Management System.
• Work with various administrative Teams to ensure correct and accurate information is received and communicated timely.
• Meet or exceed daily Quotas.
• Assist in educating and act as a resource to clinics and others..
• Determine member benefit coverage and discuss benefits with clinics, team members and administration.
• Maintain the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with company policy & procedure, and HIPAA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• A minimum of 2 year insurance and billing experience with understanding and prior experience with insurances i.e. PPO, HMO, Medicare & Medi-Cal.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within strict deadlines.
• The ability to work well under pressure (most of the paperwork is time sensitive).
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to take direction, work well alone and in a team environment.
• A thorough understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology is a plus!

Schedule:

Monday through Friday; 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Location:

This position is based out of our Billing Department location in Garden Grove, CA.

Job Type:

Full Time/Non-Exempt

Salary and Benefits Package:

• $18.00 - $21.00 an hour D.O.E.
