We are seeking an INTAKE SPECIALIST in Wausau, Wisconsin at Aspirus At Home. The Intake Specialist reviews patient medical records and abstracts pre-determined data into discrete data fields in the electronic patient record. Position is detail-oriented and requires a high degree of accuracy and timely entry of information to the appropriate patient records.

**This position offers the option to work from home or in the office.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of medical terminology and health information documentation standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a graduation from an accredited MA program, Health Information Technology, or equivalent education and training in a healthcare related field.
• Two years of experience in patient care, health information technology, or other ancillary support departments; with data abstracting, clinical documentation, information management or other related experience to Job Specific Duties.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical records, data entry, and computer skills desired.
• Ability to work to established standards of quality and productivity.
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills, ability to prioritize, attention to accuracy and timeliness in all work products and related work experience to develop and enhance skills.
• Ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and work positively with physicians, nursing and all healthcare staff.

Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. 64 hours per pay period. Benefits package available.
