DCCCA Family Preservation Services Program
Job Title: Intensive In-Home Therapists
Location: Wichita, KS and surrounding counties
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Founded in 1974, DCCCA is a strong, stable, private non-profit that has grown to 240 employees in nine locations throughout Kansas and Oklahoma. DCCCA is recruiting for Family Preservation Specialists to serve families in the Wichita and surrounding areas.
Therapists serve an integral role in keeping Kansas families together. Successful candidates are able to anticipate needs before they arise and passionate about serving as a change agent. We are looking for intrinsically motivated individuals who are driven to support children and families through significant challenges. Overview of the Intensive In-Home Therapist:
- Provides for the safety, stability, and well-being of children and families during the referral period
- Delivers and coordinates culturally competent therapeutic and case management services to children and families
- Builds therapeutic relationships for conflictual relationships, including domestic violence and parent-child conflicts
- Provides education and intervention, related to sexual abuse, domestic violence, and substance abuse prevention
- Assesses child safety and risk, initially and ongoing, assisting the family in developing a behaviorally specific safety plan and monitoring for child safety
- Meets with the family in the home weekly; meets with each child individually monthly
- Available to the family 24/7 in the event of crisis. (Historically, this has typically come up as support provided over the phone and has been infrequently needed. This sort of need varies by family.)
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in social work or human services field, required.
- Master’s level BSRB licensure, or the ability to obtain one within an agreed-upon time frame, required.
- Prior work in behavioral health or children and family services, required.
- Prior work with substance use disorder treatment and/or LMAC or LCAC, helpful.
- Communicates clearly, professionally, and persuasively in both positive and negative environments.
- Ability to work successfully in mentally and emotionally stressful situations.
Successful completion of pre-employment background screening, reference checks, fingerprinting clearance, and drug screening is required. Class C driver’s license with clear driving record, reliable personal transportation, and current automobile insurance, required. Approval by DCCCA’s auto insurance provider to drive vehicles on DCCCA business, required.
