Summary/Objective

The position of Internal Controls Manager is responsible for driving the internal controls initiatives on a global scale.

Essential Functions

Execute on creation and maintenance of the Company's SOX compliance efforts. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Support the full management of ICFR
• Lead documentation of flowcharts and narratives
• Create and maintain Risk and Control Matrices
• Recommend steps needed to address any control deficiencies, work with control owners to ensure all deficiencies are addressed on a timely basis and provide regular status updates to management
• Manage updating of internal control environment that would align with best practice aspects of a SOX compliant environment
• Perform financial risk assessments to determine top risks to the organization and identify mitigation plans
• Responsible for test of design and operating effectiveness testing
• Assist control owners with quarterly assessments to monitor the effectiveness of such controls
• Create financial and operational policies
• Manage special projects and identify solutions for improvement
• Summarize results of testing and report results to Global Director of Internal Controls
• Conduct ongoing training & education on internal control related topics across all functions

Education and Experience

• 7+ years of SOX management experience (managing a variety of stakeholders across the breadth of the organization) with at least 2 years in a public company environment
• Experience working with SEC clients in a public accounting environment or directly for, publicly traded companies
• Degree in Finance/Accounting and CIA or CPA strongly preferred
• Experience with Sarbanes Oxley implementation and oversight at a multi-national company
• Experience communicating with all levels of management
• Experience collaborating and working in a team environment
