This position is responsible for all inventory functions, i.e. cycle counts, reconciliation, physical inventory, etc. This includes oversight for both raw materials and finished goods inventory. Multiple site inventory control should be considered common. KPI analysis and warehouse process improvement will be essential. Customer interaction, including - daily, weekly and monthly meetings are also commonplace and need to be appropriately prepared for. Warehouse Management Systems (JDA) will be the main source of data control for the operation and the Inventory Control Manager needs to be an expert with its execution in all areas of the operation. Ensure documentation is accurately accounted for per Ruan and Customer policies.
Responsibilies:
Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide leadership to build and maintain a strong team through effective communications, recruiting, training, coaching, appraising, rewarding, developing and succession planning. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Manage operations of inventory control through supervisors and team leaders for cycle counting, materials movement, and KPI's using 'world class' improvement initiatives and technology. This also includes working cross functionally between other departments both inside and outside of Ruan.
- Manage quality control operations working with the customer to ensure that needs are being met from team members working in that operation.
- Documentation and record keeping. Provide 'world class' record retention per Ruan's policy and any additional policies required by the customer. Owner of all inventory records including shipping, receiving, kitting, inventory control (including physical inventory), quality control, etc.
- Operational liaison for systems controls for Ruan and the customer. Those systems include, but are not limited to, WMS (JDA), Oracle, Apriso, Cogniac, etc. Any system in usage for the site to manage inventory levels for Ruan and the customer.
- Any other tasks as needed and determined appropriate by next level manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Course(s) of Study: Business, Finance, Supply Chain, CPIM
Experience: 3-5 Years
Type of Experience: Must possess 3-5+ years of experience in a warehouse inventory control environment.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- Intermediate skills with Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, and Word) and proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) required.
- Excellent communication skills: This position will require communication to management, customers, suppliers, supervisors, and warehouse personnel. Effectively able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Must have deductive reasoning and the ability to investigate and determine root cause.
- Must be able to train team members
