Job Summary:
Village Travel, a growing family-owned business headquartered in Wichita, Kansas is currently seeking a Full Time or Part Time IT Help Desk Technician. This position will serve as the first point of contact for requesting new technology items as well as providing basic on-site and remote technical support. The position will be responsible for diagnosing user problems related to specific supported hardware, software and networking services provided by the IT Department. We are a diversified family-owned company operating over 125 charter motor coaches and plans unique travel packages marketed to more than 27,000 households. We offer traditional travel agency services, a fleet of Entertainer Coaches, and operate a daily Beeline service. Most recently, we added Village Transport offering a fleet of tractor/trailers. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide initial support to all staff and drivers
- Guide users through general problem solving and troubleshooting steps
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware/software issues
- Install and upgrade of hardware and software
- User account creation and maintenance
- Review and update documentation of: Assets, Knowledge Base, and Vendors
- Redirect unresolved issues to the next level support
- Provide quick resolution and excellent customer service
- Provide feedback on processes, make recommendations, and suggest improvement on procedures
- Assist with IT Department projects and other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- General knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting
- Have a positive attitude, great work ethic, and excellent people skills

Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, bend and sit. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds.
