IT Level 3 Support Specialist
Location: CPC offices, 100 Aqua Drive, Cold Spring, KY
Reporting To: Richard Pryor
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday: 8:00am-5pm, with occasional overnight work
Description
We are looking for an IT professional with some experience working in physical hybrid and virtual environments. We are a private communications company in Cold Spring, KY experiencing rapid growth that provides IT solutions for the correctional market with a primary focus on jail communication systems. You will work with a mid-sized, but agile, team of IT professionals focused on providing the highest level of service to our customers.
Responsibilities
You will be working within a distributed team environment administering virtual servers, backup applications, monitoring, web-based software, interfaces, proprietary software, PBX (VoIP) and TDM systems, while providing cyber security support related to all systems. You will be part of an escalation team which requires individual troubleshooting and solution implementation for various issues. As part of the team, you will assist senior specialists in the upkeep and monitoring of our virtual environments and physical data centers. You will also be working with the networking team in maintaining and expanding our distributed networking architecture. The candidate can expect to be interacting with Sheriffs, Jailers, and various other correctional staff as well as our own technicians.

Ideal Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in a multi-platform environment (various Linux/Unix distributions, virtualization, Windows server, SQL query writing and administration, basic Linux scripting, cloud-based solutions, and backup systems)
- Basic Knowledge of PBXs (VoIP), SIP, FreeSWITCH, Twilio, and Kamilio
- Knowledge in the following areas: Ethernet/Fiber, LAN/WAN Switching and Routing, and QoS
- Hands on server setup, repair, and maintenance experience
- Communication skills with technical and nontechnical people
- Ability to research new technologies and solutions
- Write technical documentation and train coworkers
- Exposure to NIST standards and CMMC certification
- Experience with tracking support tickets and managing your time
Requirements
- Minimum 2 year degree in information systems and/or 3+ years of related experience
- Must be punctual and driven to meet required task deadlines
- Availability to be on call 24/7 when required
- ALL season, reliable transportation is required
