The Baird IT Operations team is looking for a highly professional, client service driven IT Security Analyst to assist in the implementation and maintenance of IT security practices at a global financial services company, where security has become one of the top five initiatives for the firm. The qualified candidate will have proven experience in a Microsoft environment and passion to bring IT Security best practices to Baird. This position can be based in our downtown Milwaukee headquarters or Louisville office.

• Investigate and remediate security issues reported to the service desk
• Complete security requests submitted to the team
• Investigate and report on security-based alerts across multiple security tools.
• Proven ability to pick up new concepts and skills and apply them to other IT security controls.
• Identify IT security related problems and implement corrective procedures.
• Seek out and apply new technologies and skills in daily work through conferences, online training, reading, participation in organizations and user groups, etc.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

• Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of related security experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IT security concepts and technologies.
• IT Security related certifications, such as Security+ preferred
• Understanding of security concepts in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills—ability to effectively exchange ideas and information and effectively relate to others in order to accomplish work responsibilities.
• Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Experience with the some or all of the following technologies:
  • Firewalls, such as Palo Alto, Checkpoint or Cisco
  • IPS, such as Palo Alto, Cisco or Zscaler
  • Cloud web filtering, such as Forcepoint, Zscaler, Symantec
  • Endpoint security, such as McAfee, SentinelOne, Carbon Black, Crowdstrike, Cisco Secure Endpoint
  • Security Event Monitoring, such as LogRhythm, QRadar, Splunk
  • DLP technologies, such as Proofpoint, McAfee, Symantec, Zscaler
