Position Summary:

The primary focus of the position will be to maintain the restaurant technology for Mongolian Concepts with the mission of keeping system stability for our Operations team. This position is also responsible for implementing and supporting the following: Point-of-Sale, Windows networks, cloud-based ordering technology, software integrations, security configurations, loyalty applications and Restaurant Support Center (RSC) systems. This position will also test software upgrades, patches and fixes and report the results of the testing to the appropriate teams. Additional responsibilities include responding to and resolving POS related problems reported by restaurants and to provide backup support to other members of the team as necessary.

Key Responsibilities; Essential Functions:

Database Maintenance:

  • Gather, record and track all maintenance requests.
  • Update the POS database as specified in the maintenance requests.
  • Test POS database changes.
  • Distribute changes to the restaurant.

POS Software Testing:

  • Perform QA testing of changes that effect the behavior of the POS system.
  • Report software defects and configuration problems to the appropriate parties for resolution.

Help Desk Support:

  • Respond, resolve and record problem calls from the restaurants related to changes to the POS database.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support – Work with 3rd party vendors to ensure they are meeting SLA’s. Respond, resolve and record problem calls from the restaurants related to software and hardware issues.
  • Provide on call support after hours and weekends as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

Desktop Support

  • Assist End Users with any IT related issues.
  • Set up of new users, as necessary

Project Work

  • Work with Team and other department on projects
  • System upgrades and/or integrations
  • Implementation of new systems
  • System conversions

Education, Certifications & Experience:

  • Associates degree (A.A.) from a college or trade school; or two to three years‚ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge or experience with POS Software management. This includes the ability to install and set up new POS workstations, maintain the database and test database and software changes. Working knowledge of SQL and computer networking, and experience with Windows and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.) is required.
  • Restaurant experience preferred but not required. Experience with the Aloha Point of Sale is preferred. Experience with other POS systems would be a plus.
  • Candidate must have good communication skills, have the ability to adapt to changing schedules/situations and escalate problems when required. Have a strong preference for someone who is interested in learning and potentially taking on responsibilities outside the job description to assist the team
  • Normal office hours are required with some evening/weekend phone support.
  • Travel is less than 10%

  • Requires prolonged sitting.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
