An aerospace/manufacturing client is looking for an IT Support Assistant that will be responsible for entering commands on computer and peripheral equipment such as tape drive, printer, data communications equipment, and plotter, to integrate and operate equipment.

LOCATION: El Paso, TX 79912
POSITION: IT Support Assistant
CONTRACT: 12 months or longer
PAY RATE: $21.45/hr.
SHIFT: 1st shift, M-F, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates computer and peripheral equipment to process data by performing the following duties.
• Enters commands on computer and peripheral equipment such as tape drive, printer, data communications equipment, and plotter, to integrate and operate equipment.
• Loads peripheral equipment with selected materials such as tapes and printer paper for operating runs, or oversees loading of peripheral equipment by peripheral equipment operators.
• Enters commands to clear computer system and start operation.
• Observes peripheral equipment and error messages displayed on monitor of terminal to detect faulty output or machine stoppage.
• Enters commands to correct error or stoppage and resume operations.
• Notifies supervisor of errors or equipment stoppage.
• Clears equipment at end of operating run and reviews schedule to determine next assignment.
• Records problems that have occurred, such as down time, and actions taken.
• Answers telephone calls to assist computer users encountering problem.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent is required.
• Associates / Bachelors is preferred but not required
• 1-3 years of experience in role
• Steel toed shoes required
• Microsoft Windows 7 & 10 Support
• Printer (numerous models) support
• Computer Deployment experience
• Computer imaging experience
• Microsoft Office experience
• Customer support experience
• A+ certification is preferred but not required
