*Journeyman Electrician*

HyLife Food Windom a division of the HyLife organization is engaged in the dressing and processing of hogs for both domestic and world markets. Our growing company is searching for top talent to join our team in the role of a Journeyman Electrician. This opportunity is located in the community of Windom, MN.

The Electrical Technician will be a valued HyLife team member. The rotation is based on a 3on 2off 2on shift schedule from 5pm to 5am (PM Shift).

*Your days will include: *

* Electrical equipment (AC Drives, power control circuits, starters, MCC's, motors)

* Microprocessor based systems (PLC's, Electronic circuits, controls)

* Instrumentation (pneumatic controls, PID, transducers, servos, analog/digital signals)

* Conduct Planned Preventative and Predictive Maintenance and keep maintenance records

* Recommend and implement corrective action and required repairs

* Assist in planning, organizing of work activities (drawing interpretation, parts preparation)

* Recommend and implement corrective action and required repairs

* Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair

* Low and medium voltage distribution systems (single and three phase systems)

* power distribution and generation (generators, transformers, switchgears, breakers)

* HVAC, emergency systems (boilers, refrigeration, energy control, alarm)

* Understand and adhere to all plant Food/Health and Safety Polices.

To succeed in this role, you possess: *

* Must have a Journeyman or Master certificate, and a MN state electrical license

* Strong electrical, instrumentation, automation, pneumatics experience

* Weight Scales, HMI, Allen Bradley SLC5 PLC, VFD, Servomotors, Profibus/Ethernet Network Communications experience essential

* Strong decision making, problem solving troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills

* Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and effectively meet deadlines

* Ability to work independently and in a multifunctional team with minimal supervision

* Strong oral and written English communication skills required

* Working in various environments and exposure to chemicals

* Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

* Proficient in Excel and MS Office as well as an ability to adapt to other software applications

* Strong focus on food safety and workplace safety
