Job Summary:
A Junior Coach's mission is to foster a positive and nurturing environment for youth while in lessons and camps. Junior Coach positions are available to 16-17 year old individuals. Junior Coaches are primarily responsible for assisting On Snow Coaches with lessons, camps and seasonal programs.This position is ever changing and individuals must be able to complete multiple jobs at any given time. All employees are role models to our customers and should represent the Woodward brand to the highest standard.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop caring relationships with campers and help provide the best camp experience
  • Lead and participate in recreation activities with enthusiasm and encourage campers to do the same
  • Maintain clean activity spaces and perform necessary maintenance on all activity equipment
  • Assist with general cleaning and maintenance of facilities
  • Assist with lunch including serving, busing and general cleanliness
  • Communicate effectively with parents, children, teens and co-workers
  • Communicate with medical staff regarding injuries and special needs
  • Maintain a positive attitude and arrive to shifts on time
  • Uphold highest standard of professionalism in appearance and behavior at all times
  • Assist in setup and breakdown of meeting areas
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Basic Requirements:
  • Honest and has the highest integrity
  • Follows all established policies and procedures
  • Sets the example for others
  • Can handle fast paced, potentially high-pressure environment
  • Flexible with hours and days of work
  • Resume and/or Cover Letter
  • References preferred
  • Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50lbs.
  • Passionate about mountain biking, action sports, parkour, cheer, and teaching
  • Strong communication skills
  • Adhere to all grooming and name tag standards
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods
  • Must be comfortable working in an indoor and outdoor all-season environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • First Aid/CPR Certification preferred
  • Action sports experience preferred
  • Summer camp experience preferred
  • Ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team, and to lead teams in achieving goals.
