Junior Infrastructure Engineer

Downingtown, PA (Hybrid)

Contract-to-Hire

As the Junior Infrastructure Engineer, you will join an expert team of engineers that are responsible for data center cooling and air flow distribution issues at a Fortune 50 company in the Philadelphia area. In this role, you will assist in building management systems and completing data collection, and analysis. The Infrastructure Engineer will have general knowledge of electricity and electrical drawings.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with P&E & CI lab teams to assist in the development of the CI testing process and procedures of CI equipment and production equipment.
• Review and analyze existing real-time monitoring and power data of active production CI equipment & collaborate with the CI Capacity team to ensure the right-sized wattages are captured for the facility capacity model.
• Contributor in the RCA (root cause analysis) review process for all CI-related outages, track customer impact minutes, provide outage data as required, and maintain RCA KPI Dashboard.
• Contributor to the CI Standards Review process.
• Assist in the development of SIT “Field Deployment Guides” for all newly deployed network equipment.
• Review CI MOP's for new CI equipment installations and maintenance work.
• Develop network equipment models library inventory in DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tool.

Qualifications:

• General understanding of critical infrastructure components and electrical single-line drawings.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft applications - Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Projects.
• General knowledge of IP protocols (SNMP, Modbus, BACnet, Communication protocol)
• Trade school (electrical knowledge) or Equivalent Work Experience
• General knowledge of all aspects of power generation and (AC & DC) power distribution including facility and cabinet-based PDUs, ATSs, and inverter systems.
• General knowledge of Power & HVAC data center & headend dynamics.
• Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to work with vendors, internal customers, and senior leadership.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Capable of working mostly independently with minimal supervision

Pay: $64,568.70 - $77,760.16 per year
