Reports to: US Trading Manager

Location/mobility: Las Vegas

Role purpose: Reporting to the US Trading Manager, the Junior Trader role provides vital support to the trading team as well as a consistently excellent level of service to our customers. Junior Traders will receive a comprehensive training in Metric’s trading practices as well as a valuable education in the wider betting industry.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to Live Trading - Soccer, Golf & Sports, providing Metric’s feed out customers with a high end service
• Admin - Carry out vital daily admin duties in the Back Office to ensure delivery of Metric’s product to all partners. Assist Traders by creating and settling markets
• Content Management - Manage Sportsbook content ensuring all events are displayed correctly and available to customers
• Customer Support - Communicate with third party suppliers on any service issues
• Customer Support - Report issues and provide accurate information to relevant parties. Answer a variety of sportsbook queries from customers
• Liability Control and Price Management - Perform checks on liabilities and alert traders of significant or unusual positions. Monitor market and betting activity, escalating any pricing concerns
• Trading Operations - Support Trading Duty Manager in Daily operational events and communicate any issues in real time to TDM and/or product owners, resolving issues where possible
• Client Management - Build profiles on customers through real time & retrospective analysis
• Contribute to the ongoing development and testing of new products and systems

Knowledge, skills and experience:

• Must already have the right to live and work in the US.
• Passionate about sport
• Excellent numerical ability, preferably with a degree in a mathematical discipline
• Can demonstrate a basic understanding of bookmaking principles
• Ability to communicate to a high standard verbally with colleagues, and in writing to customers via email/Skype/Slack
• Ability to work flexibly including weekends, evenings and bank holidays
• Collaborative and a real team player

Covid-19 Considerations:

Metric Gaming currently operate a Hybrid Working policy with business-critical, performance management and employee development tasks/hours worked in the office. Some remote working will be supported with equipment provided to trade from home.
