We are looking for a Laboratory Services and Blood Bank Section Instructor/Trainer at RTS-MED.* This program is responsible for a variety of medical training support for the US Army reserve.

MINIMUM DUTY DESCRIPTION

  • Subject matter expert and primary instructor for the laboratory and blood bank section operations courses.
  • Primary instructor as it pertains to the Laboratory and Blood Bank Section in the following areas: biomedical equipment training; essential tasks and skills; OHIT and other computer based programs; and 2D/3D computer design software.
  • Primary instructor for core DEPMEDS courses.
  • Primary or assistant instructor for Field Sanitation course material.
  • Site faculty and assistant instructor for BLS courses.
  • Works with clinical training manager to develop training scenarios for customer units on laboratory and blood bank operations.
  • Sub hand receipt holder and responsible for equipment assigned to the laboratory and blood bank sections.
  • Responsible for identifying material requirements for the laboratory and blood bank sections.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess or obtain BLS instructor certification within 180 days of hire
  • Four years of recent experience with the military as a Commissioned or Non-Commissioned Officer (E-5 or above) in a Role 3 or 4 medical treatment facility as a 68K or Microbiologist or equivalent sister service MOS.
  • Experience with the military training concepts and organizational structure.
  • Obtain rough terrain forklift license within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to obtain Common Access Card (CAC) is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

The salary range is a general guideline. Many factors are considered including, but not limited to work experience, education, licenses, & market data.
