Job description
Equivalent ExperienceDescription:
Candidates will be working alongside of mill operators and mill assistants
Candidates will be responsible for counting product (steel tubing) as it comes off of the line
Candidates will be responsible for banding and packaging product
Responsible for labeling product when needed
Responsible for covering other laborers or assistants during break time, vacations and lunches
Responsible for cleaning and sweeping area around work station
Accept verbal instructions from supervisor
Handle products, scrap and other supplies
Assisting with unloading machinery
Openings:
Must be open to 2nd or 3rd shift. Union will pick their shift after training depending on needs
Will train on 1st shift 7am-3pm for up to 60 days
Must be willing to working 50+ hours weekly and weekends when needed (Sundays are rare)
Once they are done with training after 1 week they and are signed off on their training then they will be "forced Over" for OT due to someone calling off. They will find out 30 minutes prior to shift ending that they will need to stay for an additional 4 hours
Starting pay $19.87, will receive a $1 shift differential once permanent
Candidates will be on contract for 480 working hours, once permanent go into the USW union
Candidates will need steel toe boots***
