Landscape Architect
TNP has an immediate opening for an experienced Landscape Designer or Landscape Architect to join a team of Landscape Architecture professionals, currently engaged in a variety of public and private sector projects involving parks, trails, streetscapes, sports and recreational facilities, residential subdivisions, schools, hospitals, and other site development projects. This position provides an outstanding opportunity to join and manage an innovative design team in a well-established, growth-oriented, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and surveying firm.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: At a minimum, candidates must meet the following educational, professional and personal requirements:
Education/Certification
- Bachelor s Degree in Landscape Architecture
- Texas Landscape Architect Registration, or the ability to attain registration.
Professional
- Responsive and results oriented in service to clients.
- Minimum degree in Landscape Architecture and urban/or design preferred, with an emphasis on park design, trail design, school design, streetscapes, sports and recreational facilities, and site development projects.
- Experience or proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Adobe CS, LandFX, SketchUp, Lumion, and Microsoft Office.
- Proven progressive conceptual design and schematic design skills.
- Excellent design & presentation skills utilizing both 3D software and hand rendering techniques.
- Excellent oral, written and graphic communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop solid collaborative working relationships with diverse team members.
- Ability to effectively handle projects and deadlines of varying scales.
- Competent hand graphics skills.
- Committed to professional development.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
Responsibilities require being involved in both the production and coordination of projects, More specifically, responsibilities include:
- The planning and design of schools, parks, trails, streetscapes, sports and recreational facilities.
- The planning and design of landscape improvements for residential subdivisions, schools, hospitals, and other types of site development projects.
- Working on multiple projects simultaneously, within established budgets and timelines.
- Coordination with other TNP design teams.
- Develop projects using advanced computer technologies.
- Assisting in construction administration.
- Maintain positive client relationships.
- Participating in a collaborative, open team environment.
- Working as a liaison between the design team and internal/external clients to identify project goals and objectives and articulate design opportunities.
- Ability to execute projects in collaboration with team members, clients and contractors.
- Advancing the design practice of Landscape Architecture.
- Being fully engaged in projects from conceptual design through construction documents.
- Ability to work with and support other team members, engaging in mentoring and professional guidance.
- Supporting the marketing and business development activities of the practice.
- Collaborating with Project Landscape Architects & Designers to define project work plans.
- Contributing to and enhancing the creative spirit of TNP.
Compensation/Benefits: Compensation includes competitive base salary, supplemental pay for additional hours worked, and year-end performance-based bonus opportunities.
