Element Outdoor Living has the perfect Landscape Sales/Design opportunity for you! We are a dynamic, growth-focused and progressive landscape design, installation and maintenance company, located by the coast in Wilmington, North Carolina. Our Landscape Sales/Design position is a unique opportunity to combine strong design experience with a passion for business development. This position is responsible for providing clients with unique design ideas, developing and communicating proposals and closing the sale.

Your responsibilities as Landscape Sales Designer will include:

• Building rapport with clients throughout the sales process
• Writing proposals and presenting them to clients
• Closing the sale with clients
• Speaking to locals and community members to gain insight on potential leads
• Developing a network of fellow architects, project managers, engineers, and surveyors to generate referral business
• Developing design approaches that meet client desires for high end residential property projects
• Creating rough drawings and more sophisticated plans with computer-aided design (CAD) programs
• Performing site analyses that include the assessment of current plants, soil conditions, lighting, the view, and architecture style of the house
• Analyzing complex environmental reports and using the knowledge gained in designs/plans
• Providing recommendations on conservation and sustainability issues
• Drawing up reports and contracts

We are excited to expand our business development efforts by adding a team member with the following skills and experience:

• 1-2 years of sales and business development experience
• 3-5 years of experience in landscape design or architecture
• Excellent plant, irrigation, grading, and drainage knowledge for landscape plans
• Excellent pool, hardscape, outdoor kitchen, fire and water features, and carpentry knowledge for construction plans
• Creative critical thinking and analysis
• Ability to use CAD and 3D design software
• Experience with or ability to quickly learn estimating software
• Portfolio of past projects

The expected pay range for this position offers a base salary of $65,000 with commission opportunities providing total compensation of $80,000 - $110,000. In addition, we offer a full benefits package including health, 401k, paid time off and tuition reimbursement.
