AV Lead Installation Technician – Raleigh, NC
RPM AV Services, Inc. (RPM) is seeking to fill an immediate need for an AV Lead Installation Technician based in the Raleigh Area. Role and Responsibilities
- Being the onsite liaison between the client, RPM, and other trades
- Managing the specific tasks of all techs on the project
- Monitoring the quality of work of all techs on the project, consequently checking their work regularly
- Daily reporting and communication with the PM, must submit Daily Reports same day work was performed
- Filling out company and client Quality Control checklists prior to job completion and submission to the PM
- Arriving early to prepare for other techs and staying later to review their work
- Responsible for personally reviewing all completed work on the project.
- Manage and replenish all consumable hardware required to complete the project
- Turn on, setup, align, and/or test all equipment installed to the extent possible
- Facilitating the commissioning process with Engineers, Project Managers, and Programmers
- Maintaining and tracking all company equipment and tools used on the project
- Reviewing, highlighting, adhering to, and redlining changes on project shop drawings
- Documenting all serial #’s of equipment installed by RPM
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Commercial Audio Visual field installation experience
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass govt. and civilian background checks
- Excellent audio visual troubleshooting and time management skills
- Friendly, flexible, and approachable communicator
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer skills, Excel, Word, Email, Teams
- Mounting and construction of all-thread and uni-strut structures
- CTS/ CTS-I or progress toward either
- Proficiency in physically installing: Projection Screens, Display Mounts, Ceiling Speakers, Wired Microphones, and Equipment Racks
- Familiarity with installing products from Crestron, AMX, Extron, Atlona, AV Pro Edge, Vaddio, Biamp, QSC
- Possess the ability to run cable, use hand/power tools and solder, crimp, and compress the vast array of AV interfaces & connectors
- Basic computer skills, Excel, Word, Email, Teams
- Be able to keep a clean environment and be responsible for tools and ladders
- Friendly, flexible, and approachable communicator
Job Type: Full-time
