Protech Metals, LLC is seeking a Powder Coater.

• Perform powder coating operations under the direct supervision of a lead powder coater.
• Properly operate powder coating and curing equipment
• Effectively manage powder coating production capacity to meet production goals, and efficiently coat. Be able to understand optimal cart density and provide feedback.
• Be able to prime parts unsupervised.
• Own the successful operation of a powder coating booth / cure oven
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace
• Utilize personal protective equipment properly
• Self-inspect work to ensure defect free results, taking measurements as required.

Basic Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to inspect part prior to coating. A critical role of powder coating is to know if the parts have been prepared properly such that coating is NOT applied to parts causing a defect later.
• 2 – 5 years of experience in a powder coating or equivalent shop
• Ability to operate the powder coating equipment during a normal work shift
• Be able to take direct feedback on coating performance and adjust as necessary
• Be able to operate a prime coating booth unsupervised while maintaining safety, quality and production goals.
• Able to lift up-to 120lbs
• Ability to take accountability for mistakes made
• Able to keep corporate standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.25 - $25.94 per hour

Benefits:

• Paid time off

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay
