Responsibilities: Sabre Systems is currently recruiting for a Lead Software Developer to join our team. This role can be fully remote with preference for the US Mid-Atlantic Region. However, the Lead Software Developer must be able to work EST working hours for collaboration, as the team/client is based in the Mid-Atlantic area.
The responsibilities of the Lead Software Developer include:

• Manage a team of software developers for both corporate and commercial projects.
• Be able and willing to do software development/code when necessary.
• Manage multiple project and delivery schedules utilizing a project tracking tool.
• Manage software tools and licenses for the development team, domain name registrations, and storage/compute capacity for services provided.
• Set high standards for quality of software and technology deployed.
• Develop and maintain technical and business requirements documentation.
• Evaluate and design system enhancements.
• Analyze and evaluate trends in relevant technologies.
• Involvement in hiring and managing of direct reports.
• Have a self-driven attitude.

Qualifications: The selected candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and ten (10) years’ prior experience of professional software development, including three or more (3+) years’ experience managing a software development team.
In addition, the selected candidate must have:

• Extensive knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Azure, and SQL.
• Knowledge of web-based applications development and system architecture.
• Experience with 24/7 mission critical online services.
• Extensive prior programming experience in a Windows hybrid (on prem and Azure) environment.
• Experience with industry standard SSO technologies and protocols such as SAML, OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect, WS-Fed, FIDO, SCIM, LDAP, Kerberos, and NTLM.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Development tools, Visual Studio, Git source control, HTML, CSS, Classic or .Net ASP, C++, C#, XML, JavaScript.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail.

It is desired that the selected candidate also has:

• Familiarity with the Deltek suite of applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft’s GCC High platform.
• Experience with Cognos BI.
• Familiarity with WordPress / PHP.
• Experience with the Navy/Marine Corp Intranet (NMCI) network and its operations.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, or CMMC standards and controls.
• Experience with SharePoint alternatives such as Confluence.
• Familiarity with UML or SYSML modeling.
